Suzanne McCullagh is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she teaches courses in ethics, politics, and environmental philosophy. She has engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations with artists, environmental health scientists, and educational theorists, and she co-organizes an intensive week long seminar in the History of Philosophy for graduate and postdoctoral researchers (The City Seminar) that is held annually in a different North American city. She has published work on empathy, aesthetics and education, and ecology and health. Her current research focuses on how we conceive of ethical and political action and community. She is currently working on a book length project on ethical heterogeneity and ecological politics and an article on the political history of empathy.
